Email uit New Zealand

Vandaag ontvingen we een emailtje van onze 'penpals from New Zealand'. We hebben het berichtje samen gelezen en vertaald. Morgen sturen we een emailtje terug!

Dear Olympus Class:

Our names are Jacob, Emma and Maia. We are from New Plymouth, New Zealand. We go to Moturoa School. It is located near a big port and right on the ocean. We can see the ocean from our classroom.

Jacob is 6. He would like to tell you a little bit about sports in New Zealand. In New Zealand we play soccer, rugby, basketball, tennis, cricket, netball, and some games at school. One game I like to play is soccer.

Maia is 7. Maia doesn't like bananas, but she likes sushi. She also likes indian food. We have a lot of different restaurants in New Plymouth. Some are: Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, New Zealand, Italian, Turkish, Mongolian, and American.

Emma is 7 years old. She would like to tell you about our pet mouse. Its name is biscuit. It is about 3 years old. We used to have three mice, but two of them died. We take turns bringing him home each weekend. We're not sure whether it is a girl or a boy, but think its a boy. Our mouse eats seeds, dried bananas, and guinea pig food.

If you would like to email us back, our class email is:
room4-at-moturoa.schoolzone.net

We look forward to hearing from you soon,
Emma, Maia, Jacob, and Kristen (their teacher)
